One of Leigh Bowery's most famous and acclaimed performances
was "The Birth of Nicola",

in which leigh would give birth to his wife/assistant Nicola Bowery on stage.
This performance

was staged on Wigstock and on several Minty's gigs. Inspired by a very famous
scene from

John Waters' movie "Pink Flamingos" (featuring über-drag Divine),
this performance is fully

described on the documentary "The Legend Of Leigh Bowery".
